Ceraso

Ceraso is part of Mountain Community Gelbison and Cervati in the heart of the Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano. Located about 300 m s.l.m. the territory is mountainous part-hill and enjoys the atmosphere typical of hilly areas. Made up of a beautiful Mediterranean scrub and forests of alder, beech and chestnut. Famous are the secular and olive oil typical of the area. Ceraso are fractions of Santa Barbara, Massascusa, San Biase, Petrosa and Metoio.

 

  

 


The most characteristic part of the village still visible today dates back to 1790, and is concentrated around the church dedicated to San Nicola di Bari, who with the Palaces "Lancillotti", "Di Lorenzo and other small places are the artistic heritage of country.
